    Thanks for your feedback.

Please select your device from below for instructions about how to link, or pair, a new Nike + iPod sensor:

    iPod nano

The Nike + iPod Sport Kit is required to run with the iPod nano (5th generation or earlier). You do not need to connect the receiver or use a sensor when running with the iPod nano (6th generation), but if you choose to use a sensor, you need to also connect the receiver.

Here's how to link a new Nike + iPod sensor to your iPod nano:

    1. Connect the receiver to your iPod nano.

Connect Nike + iPod receiver to iPod nano
    2. Put on the shoes with the new Nike+ Running Sensor, and make sure there are no other sensors nearby.
    3. Go to the device settings:
      • iPod nano (6th generation): Tap Settings > Nike + iPod > Sensor > Link.
      • iPod nano (5th generation or earlier): Choose Nike + iPod > Settings > Sensor > Link.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to "Walk around to activate your sensor."

Note: If you link to a previously linked sensor, Nike + iPod detects your calibration settings. You do not need to recalibrate.

If you connect a Nike + iPod receiver to a different iPod nano and use it with the same sensor, you don’t need to relink or recalibrate. The receiver stores your settings, your workout history, and your workout shortcuts.

    iPhone or iPod touch

Before using Nike + iPod with your iPhone or iPod touch, you must pair the Nike+ Running Sensor to your mobile device using the steps below:

    1. Place the Nike+ Sensor into a Nike+ ready shoe.
    2. Put on the shoes and make sure there are no other sensors in your vicinity.
    3. On your iPhone/iPod touch, tap Settings > Nike + iPod > Sensor > Link New.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions (Walk around to activate your sensor).

Note: If you pair to a previously paired sensor, Nike + iPod detects your calibration settings. You do not need to recalibrate.
